Activity 18: Entrepreneurship

Friends and family have encouraged you to become an entrepreneur. You will organize your thoughts into a business plan report or a business proposal which includes information about:


  • the location of your business
  • description of your target market
  • an explanation of your competitive advantage
  • an analysis of how your business will succeed.
You will also present a "2-Minute Pitch" of your business idea to potential investors. You may make improvements to your business plan based on their feedback.

Congratulations you've had your second baby! It's time make a new family tree. Use Google Docs Drawing or bubbl.us to create a family tree with at least 3 generations and 20 people. Remember to include your crazy Uncle Larry.

Activity 15: You're Famous!

Congratulations you're famous! Create a 2 minute podcast of yourself being interviewed about something that has made you famous. Publish the podcast on your blog.

Make sure your podcast has at least 3 tracks: interviewer, interviewee and music or sound effects. Remember to have effective volume settings (including fading in/out), effective timing of audio clips (trimming of tracks).

For a mark above 80% create your own tunes using UJAM and insert this into your podcast (or radio show). Also remember to make this exactly 2:00 minutes in length. (Time is money!) Have fun!

Your posting should be a least 200 words and include at least 2 images and 3 hyperlinks.

For a mark above 80% create a free online wedding invitation and insert the picture into your posting. You may want to use Pingg Online Invitations and then copy the image URL (website address).

Activity 12: Your Future Job (6 years from now)

Create a 3-5 page report about a job you want to have approximately 6 years from now. You want to include information about education required, salary, benefits, promotion opportunities, and the lifestyle this work offers. (Use today's values and terms in your report. ) You may want interview someone who has this position to find out more information.

Remember to use effective grammar and spelling. Organize your report with a cover page, page numbers, and bibliography. Make sure your layout is consistent throughout your report and the design looks professional. Embed your report into a blog posting.

Use Voki or Blabberize to record your Personal Life Entry and embed your response into your posting.

Activity 9: Congratulations! You've Graduated!

Congratulations! You have graduated from high school. Create a multimedia show in Animoto about your graduation. Your 30 second graduation video should include at least 10 images, text and music that promote the theme of your multimedia piece. Embed your Animoto project into a post on your blog. (The free account on Animoto will restrict you to make your project length a maximum of 30 seconds. The faster the music you select, the more images you are able to include.)
